When Does It End...And Where?

Here's something short and sweet for you to chew on: The spirit of Right Click on Rightside Media is enshrined in the understanding that politics touches everything, even video games and especially pop culture. I, as the resident gaming nerd who is frustrated with politics just like everyone, have taken a special level of personal offense to the nonsense that I see in video games.

This leads me to the 'why' in why I love doing what I do for Rightside so much.

I have told my story here many times on what led me to where I am at and how recent events in my life have brought me full circle back to either heavily reflecting on those foundations or meeting them face-to-face once again. Because of this, I have sat down and revisited old Call of Duty's and old games that really formed my opinion on games, as well as the world around me from a formative age and here is what I have found: Proof. I was right all along. Frankly, I kinda hit the nail on the head.

In the midst of all of the noise of the modern day, the gaming industry has completely, and I do mean completely, lost it's way. Passionate development of video games for the sake of having a good video game has been pushed to the wayside and replaced by passionate social activism. An entire generation was told that the mediums of consumption must tow the social requirements of being 'seen' and being accepted.

It's "tolerance".

Need I remind you that "tolerance" is not a Christian virtue. I will not get into detail but I personally witnessed a male-to-female transgender individual follow a pre-teen female child to the restroom. Social "tolerance" was not on the forefront of my mind in that moment, protection of an innocent child was. We have all heard stories of this but to see it happen firsthand brings out a level of distaste in what I see in this fractured culture that I was not aware I had pent up. Compassion and grace are Christian virtues, but tolerance is not.

This is why I take what I do here at Rightside so personally. The number one thing that I have associated my life towards and the number one thing that I attribute to my formation as an individual is being violently and demonically attacked. This industry has been turned into a propaganda arm for satanic disruption and virtue; or lack thereof. This industry has been attacked from every angle, starting at software and hardware, all for the sake of being a tool to push narratives and messaging to people of all ages that the nonsense we are seeing in our culture is 'okay'. The same narratives of what I saw happening to a young girl because of trans "acceptance" is being forced into video games.

It takes us, as a collective, to stop this. It doesn't take electing your favorite politician or anything like that. We have the exact same tool belt that the people who perverted this culture do; our voice.

It's well past the time we use it.

When does it end? And where? Near as I can tell, that actually is up to us.
